Job Summary/Responsibilities: The Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology is a multipurpose interdisciplinary unit dedicated to the advancement of teaching and student learning. The office advocates and facilitates the enhancement of teaching, with an emphasis on general as well as more focused pedagogies; encourages self-reflection and provides support for individual instructors; and promotes a community of teaching- scholars, wherein views, experiences and research about the theory and practice of pedagogy are shared. The Center provides leadership and support for the faculty and staff of Illinois State University and other institutions of higher education in the area as they pursue innovation and excellence in teaching, learning, and technology. Through ongoing professional development and multimedia services, the Center provides assistance and support for faculty and staff use of technology for instruction and other professional objectives.

The Director is responsible for the promotion of teaching, learning and technology to Illinois State University faculty and staff and is responsible for the direction of the center and its staff.

Required Qualifications: 1. Doctorate Degree
2. Strong aptitude for learning and applying new technologies related to teaching and learning
3. Experience teaching with new technologies (at the university-level)
