George Clooney's had another huge year, but the Oscar nominee is all about spreading the love, particularly when it comes to his best bro, fellow Best Actor nominee Brad Pitt.

Clooney hit the red carpet with girlfriend Stacy Keibler, rocking a fresh-from-the-runway Marchesa dress, and when he stopped to talk to MTV News, he admitted that as a past winner he's ready to pass the torch to his thrice-nominated but winless "Ocean's Eleven" co-star and longtime buddy.

"I agree, let's give it to Brad. I love him," Clooney told MTV News' own Josh Horowitz. "I'd be happy if he got it."

However, "The Descendents" star admitted, "I think it's gonna be an all-French night." He was referring, of course, to Oscar front-runner "The Artist" and its star, Jean Dujardin.

It's been a long awards season of love between Clooney and "Moneyball" nominee Pitt. The pair turned January's Golden Globes into a veritable lovefest.

After Clooney ribbed his bud while presenting his nominated film "Moneyball," Pitt returned the favor when he made his way to the stage to introduce Clooney's "The Ides of March."

Later, when Clooney won the Globe, he spent most of his speech lavishing love on Pitt, saying, "I wanted to say it's nice to see Brad and it's nice to be able to tell him not just what wonderful work he's doing in two films this year, but also what wonderful work he does in the world to the rest of the people. I'm a fan."

The superstar is ready for this year's awards season to come to an end, though, telling MTV, "You're really ready to stop for a while, you know. There's a little too much slapping everybody on the back."

But that doesn't mean he's not excited for the year ahead, especially for his Alfonso Cuarón sci-fi epic "Gravity," which co-stars another Oscar winner, Sandra Bullock.

"Yeah, I'm excited about that film," Clooney said, telling Horowitz that the much-anticipated flick will feature unbroken 12-minute shots and "all kinds of other things. It's a really interesting, wild film," Clooney added. "I'm excited. Visually, it should be unbelievable."
