You?ve got your website set up ready to promote your product or services. That?s great but you can do more to connect with your audience?

Did you know that a very small portion of communication comes down to your words? Adding your voice to your website gives a new element to your sales message that words alone can?t possibly produce.

Now you might think it?s terribly complicated to add your voice and audio messages to your website. It?s really not. Here are three easy steps to get your message out in a new format that will have your visitors attention AND will create greater trust in your message:

3 Steps to Adding Audio to Your Website

1. Record Audio ? You may have software on your computer that will record audio for you. If so simply use that. Mac users will have Garageband. If you have a PC there is a great free program called Audacity. Simply Google it and you?ll find the download site. But wait ? want it to be even easier? How about calling into a single phone number just like you?re making a phone call, hitting a few buttons and recording your website audio message. You can use a number of online programs to do that.

2. Host Audio ? Now, there are many ways to host audio but I?m just going to cover my favorite in this article. It?s by using a program that allows you to record your own audio messages and it will also host them for you. Hosting is kind of like paying rent. Your audio has to ?live? somewhere and using a program to host your audio means it?s got a nice, safe and secure home.

3. Stream Audio ? The final thing you need to do after you?ve recorded and hosted your audio is get it on your website. You have probably seen a player on a number of websites that has the little ?play? triangle, the pause button, fast forward, etc. This is called streaming audio because it plays right on the website and you don?t have to download it to hear it.

What Can I Do With Audio on My Website?

So what should you record an audio of? There are a number of ways you can use audio to build trust and add value for your potential and existing customers. Here are some ideas:

- Welcome Message ? Tell your visitors what your website is about, what you offer, what makes you unique and most importantly what they should do next.
- Thank you Message ? After your visitors take a certain action such as buying from you or signing up for your newsletter you can direct them to a specific page where you?ve set up a thank you message and a call to action for what they can do next.
- Sales Message ? Use audio to enhance your services or product descriptions.
- Expert Articles ? Do you give away free content on your website to build trust in your expertise? If so you can create an audio version of these articles for added exposure.
- Interviews ? Interviewing other experts is a great way to offer your potential customers valuable information on your market while directing them to your offers.

As you can see there are a lot of ways you can use audio to build your business. Using a program that makes it easy means you?ll create them faster and get your message out there as soon as possible.

That should give you a good idea on how to get started using audio on your website. If you want more information on how to get started for free a good first step is to check out this Audio Acrobat Review.
