FORT MYERS BEACH, Fl. - Folks in Oklahoma continue to clean up after the massive tornadoes that ripped through back in May.
Since then,?there has been an outpouring of support to the victims there and one effort is happening right here in your community.??Operation: Oklahoma Rescue started at Chuck's Last Stop on Fort Myers Beach Saturday?morning.
Organizers held a pancake breakfast, raffled off prizes and held a silent auction.? All donations will help relief efforts.
"After seeing the devastation in Oklahoma and seeing all the children that lost their lives, it kind of hit home and it was touching because?I have my own children, so?I decided, what can?I do to help?" says Alicia Hanskamp.
You can drop off donations at the Beach Baptist Church every day from 8am to 4pm.? Operation: Oklahoma Rescue will also have another fundraiser next weekend at the Nauti Turtle on Fort Myers Beach.
