I?m 16 and in a long distance relationship with someone and we?ve been together for 2 years.
The last time I saw him was in October 2010.
I?m going to visit him in Spain this Summer and his mom called my mom to officially invite me:
My mother?s answer : ?My daughter will be going no where if she is being a little brat to me and if she doesn?t get better marks?.
Firstly, I?m not a little brat. She is going over the top, we mostly fight because she comments negatively to every sentence I say, that i really don?t appreciate (sometimes, she even criticises my boyfriend !)
Of course, when she does that, I yell at her and cry etc. ?> She calls that ?being nasty? to her.
Second of all, I?m in a French school system (long story -_-) and it?s extremely difficult. I don?t have the best of marks, but I?m doing okay. I?m doing my honest best and I spend hours revising for simple little tests.
She also brings me down saying things like ?You?re not getting on well in work, you?re going to end up repeating the year?etc?
My mother is basically telling me I can only go to Spain if I improve these things. What the hell is she doing/thinking ? It?s not exactly my fault !
And I swear to God, If I don?t go to Spain, I will literally stumble back into my depression and have the worst summer/ end of 2011 ever.
Advice ? Please DO NOT SAY ?break up with him, it?s not worth it? coz you?re answer will definitely not be picked best.
