CBS' 'Two and a Half Men' kills Sheen's character (AP)

NEW YORK ? "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre introduced Ashton Kutcher as a new star of television's most popular comedy on Monday, and gained a measure of revenge against the departed Charlie Sheen in the process.

How Sheen's character Charlie Harper would be killed off was a closely-held secret and it was revealed right away during the season premiere: he slipped on a subway platform in Paris and was hit by an oncoming train.

"His body just exploded like a balloon full of meat," Harper's obsessed neighbor Rose explained.

Sheen went on a spectacular, insult-spewing rampage against Lorre and CBS after he was fired for drug use and erratic behavior earlier this year. Lorre took the arrows silently ? until Monday night.

The show opened with Jon Cryer, who played ad writer Harper's sad-sack brother Alan, speaking at Charlie's wake in front of a coffin and one of Sheen's signature shirts. Alan said that it was a sad day for everyone.

"Speak for yourself," one woman shouted from the audience.

Harper said that his brother gave everything he got in life ? and women called out sexual diseases that they had contracted from him.

Later, Harper's housekeeper noted that all he had ever asked for was "clean sheets and hosing the vomit off the occasional drug-addled hooker."

The character of Charlie Harper was always considered a thinly-veiled version of Sheen in real life. Lorre's script drove that point home with little romance or sentimentality. After a delivery man brings Harper's ashes in a golden urn, Alan has a conversation and says it was "just like old times. I'm talking and you're in a bottle ignoring me." He considered how to dispose of the ashes, perhaps sprinkling them on the nearby beach.

"It's simple, dignified, and pretty girls with oil will be sitting on you all day," Alan said. "It's kind of like your life ? except for the dignified part."

When Kutcher surprises Cryer's character by appearing at the doorway, Charlie's ashes are spilled all over the floor.

Lorre's barbs come just as Sheen has been expressing contrition in recent days. He said on the "Tonight" show that he would have fired himself if he was in charge at CBS or the show's producer. On the Emmy Awards telecast Sunday, he said he wanted to sincerely wish Kutcher and his old colleagues good luck for the new season.

Lorre packed his show with a couple of inside jokes. John Stamos plays a potential buyer of Harper's house who backs off when he finds out who lived there. Stamos was widely considered a possible successor to Sheen before Kutcher was hired.

Actors Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson also appeared as potential buyers, playing their old characters Dharma and Greg, a Lorre-produced series that aired on ABC from 1997 to 2002.

Kutcher plays Internet billionaire Walden Schmidt, who made his appearance wet from a suicide attempt in the ocean. It seems Schmidt may be tall, good looking and rich, but he's morose about a lost love.

Kutcher joins right in on the sex jokes that are the show's stock in trade. He walks around naked, and other characters comment on his anatomy. Alan Harper takes Schmidt out to drink, where Schmidt meets two women and brings them to Harper's home.

"I dig your house," he said. "I'm going to buy it."

That appears to set up the second episode, explaining how Schmidt comes to live with two people he doesn't know in a house he just saw.

Important Things That a Low Income Earner Should Do When ...

Car finders with lower incomes would usually seek for auto loans that they could obtain, pay for these promptly, and allow them to gain full ownership of the cars that they want to finance. However, getting a loan with a limited monthly income can be difficult. This is because lenders are usually sensitive with the loan applicants? monthly incomes. Due to this, lenders would turn the car loan applications of individuals with lower incomes down.

But this doesn?t mean low-income earners are not qualified to obtain different auto loans. In fact, getting some of the auto financing deals is possible and manageable as long as they know the proper ways on how to secure these. In order to help them, this article provides the important things that low-income earners should do when getting auto loans and these are following.

1. Accomplish the necessary preparation

Car loan applicants with relatively lower incomes should try to prepare themselves before they go out and shop for the available auto loan deals. They should make sure that their credit reputation is good even although their monthly earnings are low. By doing this, they would probably convince lenders that they are responsible enough to handle the obligations involved in getting a loan.

This simply means that low-income earners should provide proofs that they are capable of handling credit obligations. One thing that they could do is pay their existing financial obligations such as their personal loans or their current credit card balances. By doing this, they would be able to project themselves as responsible creditors.
In addition to this, car loan applicants with lower incomes should also save their money for the down payment, look for a qualified co-signer, and search for collateral that they could use in the event that lenders would require any of these.

2. Search for the best lender

When all the possible requirements are prepared, the next thing that this type of creditors should do is to search for the best lender. They can try to visit some of the local lenders and look for loan deals suited to their budget.

They need to be very patient in looking for lenders that could provide them with what they need. The most important thing that they should do is to explain their current financial condition with lenders. In addition to this, they should also make sure that the lenders are willing to help them.

These types of loan applicants should also search for more loan offers from different lenders to increase the chances of getting the best from what is offered. By getting more auto loan quotes, they would be able to choose those that involve lower monthly payments and interest rates.

3. Choose the most appropriate car to finance

It is also important for low-income earners to choose the appropriate type of car to finance. Since their monthly incomes are low, it is advisable for them to finance some of the available cheap new car models. By doing this, they would obtain lower monthly premiums, lower interest rates, and increase the chance of paying their loans off.

They could also talk to their lenders and inquire about the type of vehicles that they could finance. Lenders usually provide recommendations about the cars that each type of loan applicants could finance based on their income and this prevents low-income earners from financing cars that they can?t afford.

Blackburn Rovers' Yakubu celebrates with his manager Steve Kean after scoring his second goal against Arsenal on Saturday.

EUROPEAN ROUNDUP

By MARK WALSH

updated 5:09 p.m. ET Sept. 17, 2011

Arsenal's poor start to the English season worsened Saturday with a 4-3 loss to Blackburn despite leading twice in the first half. Elsewhere in the Premier League, all three promoted clubs won on the same day for the first time since February 2007.

Ayegbeni Yakubu scored twice in his debut and Arsenal's hapless defense allowed two own-goals in Blackburn's first victory of the season. Arsenal has just four points from five games, with one of its losses an 8-2 rout at first-place Manchester United.

"It is terrible, it is just not good enough," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said. "Of course, we are very frustrated. The spirit in the team is quite willing but, if you look at the number of goals we have conceded, that is not good enough."

Welsh club Swansea scored its first goals as a Premier League club in beating West Bromwich Albion 3-0, while fellow newcomer Queens Park Rangers won 3-0 victory at Wolverhampton. Norwich completed the trio of wins for the promoted clubs, with Anthony Pilkington and Bradley Johnson getting first-half goals in a 2-1 win at Bolton.

In other matches, Newcastle recovered to draw 1-1 at Aston Villa to preserve both teams' unbeaten starts. Everton scored two late goals to beat Wigan 3-1. United plays Chelsea on Sunday.

___

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) ? Lionel Messi scored a hat trick and set up two more goals as Barcelona rebounded from two straight draws with an 8-0 rout of Osasuna in the Spanish league.

Barcelona had twice squandered 2-0 leads during the past week with costly lapses in defense. But the three-time defending champion erased any questions about its defensive strength with an overwhelming attacking display that gave Osasuna no chance at Camp Nou stadium.

Barcelona was up 5-0 by halftime on two goals by Messi, goals by Cesc Fabregas and David Villa and an own-goal by Osasuna defender Roversio.

Roberto Soldado's first-half goal gave Valencia a 1-0 win at Sporting Gijon. Soldado leads the league with five goals in three games, one more than Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Madrid and Real Betis can draw even with Valencia with wins on Sunday.

___

MILAN (AP) ? Inter Milan and Roma did little to relieve the pressure on their managers with a 0-0 draw. Both teams remained winless this season, and time could be running out for Inter coach Gian Piero Gasperini and Roma manager Luis Enrique.

Cagliari took the early lead in Serie A with a 2-1 win over newly promoted Novara. Thiago Ribeiro gave Cagliari the lead with a header in the 38th minute and Joaquin Larrivey doubled the lead in the 86th with a deflection off a shot from Daniele Conti. Takayuki Morimoto scored for Novara in the 88th with a lob from outside the penalty area.

Having opened with a 2-1 win at Roma last weekend, Cagliari has a maximum six points. Novara, back in the top division for the first time in 55 years, has one point.

On Sunday, defending champion AC Milan visits Napoli, and Juventus looks to maintain its strong start at Siena.

___

BERLIN (AP) ? Lukas Podolski scored two goals and set up another, leading Cologne to a 4-1 win at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Podolski assisted on Milivoje Novakovic's goal in the 44th minute before adding his own in the 47th and 54th. Simon Rolfes cut the lead in the 70th.

Leverkusen striker Andre Schuerrle was sent off in injury time, before Mato Jajalo completed the scoring with Podolski again instrumental.

Igor de Camargo scored in the 66th minute for Borussia Moenchengladbach in a 1-0 win at last-place Hamburger SV.

Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese was sent off in a 1-1 draw at Nuremberg, and Wolfsburg also had a keeper sent off in a 3-1 loss at Hoffenheim. Hertha Berlin drew 2-2 with Augsburg and Kaiserslautern rallied to beat Mainz 3-1.

___

PARIS (AP) ? Montpellier squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Brest, missing an opportunity to build its lead in the French league.

Santiago Gentiletti tied the score in the 88th minute with a header for Brest, which had trailed 2-0 at halftime.

Montpellier took the lead in the 19th minute when Brest goalkeeper Steeve Elana parried a free kick from Marco Estrada, but Olivier Giroud followed up with a score. Giroud doubled the lead in the 41st by heading in a cross from Henri Bedimo, before Eden Ben Basat pulled a goal back for Brest in the 70th.

___

EDINBURGH, Scotland (AP) ? Motherwell lost 3-0 at home to St. Johnstone, missing a chance to close the gap at the top the Scottish Premier League standings. Hearts remained unbeaten in its last six games with a 2-0 win over St. Mirren.

An own-goal by Tim Clancy put St. Johstone ahead in the 20th minute and late goals from Francisco Sandaza and Liam Craig sent third-place Motherwell to a second straight defeat.

Hearts improved to fourth after Jamie Hamill scored on a 43rd-minute penalty kick before Lee Mair's own-goal.

Dundee United beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-1, Dunfermline drew 2-2 with Hibernian, and Aberdeen tied Kilmarnock 2-2.

Palin faults Obama, establishment for economic woe

(AP) ? Sarah Palin struck a populist tone and assailed corporate favoritism Saturday in a campaign-style speech to tea party activists. The Republican star visited the state that kicks off the GOP presidential race as the clock ticks down on her self-imposed deadline to enter it.

She did not announce whether she will run for the White House. But the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee did lay the rhetorical groundwork for an outsider campaign by advocating proposals aimed at addressing the nation's stubbornly high unemployment.

And in doing so, Palin set herself apart from President Barack Obama, a Democrat seeking re-election who is rolling out a jobs plan next week, and, in a veiled way, from some declared Republican presidential candidates.

"This is why we must remember the challenge is not simply to replace Obama in 2012. The real change is who and what we will replace him with," Palin said at a tea party rally in a rural area south of Des Moines. "Folks, you know it's not enough to change the uniform."

The audience of about 2,000 supporters from all over the country, dampened by heavy rains that quit shortly before the midday speech, erupted into chants of "Run, Sarah, Run!"

But Palin gave no response, and steered clear of any reference to a candidacy, even in jest as she has in the past, during her 40-minute speech.

"It would be a tremendous disappointment to a lot of people if she didn't run," said Mike Archambault, who traveled from Oregon to attend the rally.

Palin highlighted her two years as Alaska governor as an example of confronting powerful interests including the state's oil industry. She accused Obama and leaders in Washington of coddling corporations, at heavy cost to the taxpayers.

And while not naming any of her would-be GOP rivals, she also said other Republicans were guilty of repaying campaign donations with policy perks.

In recent weeks, media reports have pointed out instances in which people who have donated to Texas Gov. Rick Perry's campaigns have received appointments. That has left Perry vulnerable to criticism of corporate influence.

"There is a name for this. It's corporate, crony capitalism," she said.

Asked later if she was referring to Perry, she said all GOP candidates should be on alert.

"I want all of our GOP candidates to take the opportunity to kill corporate capitalism that is leading to this cronyism that's destroying our economy," Palin said, while in a crush of hundreds of supporters asking for autographs and posing for pictures.

Palin also said her remarks should not be construed as a campaign address, telling reporters: "It was a thank-you-tea-party-Americans speech."

Palin's appearance in Iowa came as she nears a late-September deadline for announcing her future political plans, if there are any.

Her Saturday appearance in Iowa and plans to headline a tea party rally Monday in New Hampshire, home of the first-in-the-nation primary, elevated the sense of urgency surrounding her.

Time may be running out for Palin to command the spotlight as she has throughout the summer, despite her coyness about a candidacy. There are three nationally televised debates for the declared GOP candidates, which are expected to shape the race in a way that could leave her behind.

Her speech Saturday stood out because after a summer of railing about the federal debt crisis, she switched gears and offered ideas she argued would lift the economy. She addressed jobs issue that declared candidates have only begun to tackle on the campaign trail.

She proposed expanding oil drilling and loosening regulations on it. She called for pared down business regulations. And she suggested eliminating the corporate income tax.

"It's not just fear of a double-dip recession, and it's not the shame of a credit downgrade," she said. "This is a systemic crisis due to failed policies and incompetent leadership."

Should Palin run, she may try to do so in an unconventional way.

Although she has drawn large crowds during two Iowa appearances within the past month, she has done none of the political spadework other presidential contenders have such as meeting with key party activists and officials.

Meanwhile, Republican candidates who are also popular with the tea party, including Perry and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, have emerged as contenders for the nomination. And Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, now is making a play for tea party support.

While Palin remains popular with tea party activists, her popularity with rank-and-file Republicans has dropped sharply.

SOUQUET WINS HIS 6TH MASTERS TITLE | Inside Sports

2011 PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters

Souquet claims sixth Masters crown

The Final

Ralf Souquet (GER) 8 ? 5 Dennis Orcollo (PHI)

GERMANY?S RALF SOUQUET claimed his sixth PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters title as he defeated the Philippines? Dennis Orcollo in front of a packed house at the SM Mall North in Quezon City, Manila. The jubilant ?Kaiser? screamed with joy as he downed the final 9 ball, as he banished a succession of heart-breaking defeats in the Philippines capital city.

He lost to Ronnie Alcano in the final of the 2006 World Pool Championship in this same city and then he and Thorsten Hohmann were narrowly beaten in the final of the 2009 World Cup of Pool at the hands of Efren Reyes and Francisco Bustamante.

Following on from his recent induction into the BCA Hall of Fame, Souquet, 42, put in two stellar performances today. Earlier he came from 7-4 down to beat Darren Appleton in the semi-final and followed that up by a solid performance to derail Dennis Orcollo who had looked so good over his previous three matches.

?It seems to be my tournament for whatever reason. I?ve made the final eight times and won six and lost twice. It?s not only a dream come true but also the icing on the cake to win it here in the Philippines,? said a delighted Souquet.

?It?s the fifth final I?ve played in the Philippines but the first time I?ve won one, which makes it all the more satisfying!?

The match itself was tight is the early stages and at 3-3 it was all to play for. Neither player was making the most of the break before Orcollo nailed one in eighth game to set up a run out and establish a two rack lead at 5-3.

Souquet is one of pool?s premier fighters and he scrapped back into contention at 5-5 and then produced a superb break shot that saw four balls drop and leave him a shot on the lowest ball. From there he cleared to move into a 6-5 lead.

Sensing the momentum was swinging in his favour, Souquet broke and ran the next to reach the hill and put Orcollo under severe pressure. The diminutive Filipino though, had potted his last ball as the clinical German broke and ran the last for a famous victory.

?At the Masters you are playing 15 of the greatest players in the world and it?s very tough from the first round on and you have to play at 100 per cent and if you can?t do that then you won?t win,? said Souquet.

.

?I could?ve lost all of my matches and the final was my biggest winning margin as I won 8-7, 8-6, 8-7 and then 8-5.

?The Philippines is the country of pool and it?s where the sport is such a big thing. There are so many great players like Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, Dennis Orcollo, Roberto Gomez and I could go on. It?s just so tough to win a tournament here.

?But it?s so great here as you have so many great fans that love the sport and the players are treated the way they should be.?

RockStar MD: Consequences of STDs

It is quite true that most sexually transmitted infections can be completely cured if they are caught at an early stage. However, if left untreated, STIs can pose a long-term risk to your health and fertility. And the sad fact is that certain STDs are eventually fatal.

Women who are pregnant can become infected with the same sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) as women who are not pregnant. Pregnancy does not provide women or their babies any protection against STDs. The consequences of an STD can be significantly more serious, even life threatening, for a woman and her baby if the woman becomes infected with an STD while pregnant. It is important that women be aware of the harmful effects of STDs and know how to protect themselves and their children against infection.

While each STD causes different health problems, overall, they can cause:

Ectopic or tubal pregnancies which can be fatal to the mother and are always fatal to the unborn baby.

Babies born to women with sexually transmitted diseases may suffer death or severe damage as a result of the mother's STD.

Sometimes sexually transmitted diseases cause damage to other organs including the heart, kidneys, and brain.

10 to 20% of women with gonorrhea and chlamydia develop one of the most serious complications, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

Women who have current or prior history of certain sexually transmitted diseases such as PID have a significant chance of experiencing infertility. Up to 40% of women with untreated chlamydia infections develop PID, and 20% of those may become infertile.

In men, untreated STD can cause epididymitis, a painful infection in the tissue surrounding the testicles that can result in infertility.

STDs can also have severe social and economic consequences. Women, especially in developing countries, may be blamed for an STD or resulting infertility. This may lead to violence, abandonment or divorce. STDs can also result in lost work time due to illness.

CIA and MI6 helped Gaddafi on dissidents: Human Rights Watch (Reuters)

TRIPOLI (Reuters) ? Documents found in the abandoned Tripoli office of Muammar Gaddafi's intelligence chief indicate the U.S. and British spy agencies helped the fallen strongman persecute Libyan dissidents, Human Rights Watch said on Saturday.

The documents were uncovered by campaign group Human Rights Watch (HRW)in the abandoned offices of Libya's former spy chief and foreign minister, Moussa Koussa.

The group said it uncovered hundreds of letters between the CIA, MI6 and Koussa, who is now in exile in London. Letters from the CIA began, "Dear Moussa" and were signed informally with first names only by CIA officials, HRW said.

The current military commander for Tripoli of Libya's provisional government, Abdel Hakim Belhadj, was among those captured and sent to Libya by the CIA, according to HRW.

"Among the files we discovered at Moussa Koussa's office is a fax from the CIA dated 2004 in which the CIA informs the Libyan government that they are in a position to capture and render Belhadj," HRW's Peter Bouckaert, who was part of the group that found the stash, told Reuters.

"That operation actually took place. He was captured by the CIA in Asia and put on a secret flight back to Libya where he was interrogated and tortured by the Libyan security services."

HANDED OVER FOR TORTURE

Belhadj has claimed that he was tortured by CIA agents before being transferred to Libya, where he says he was then tortured at Tripoli's notorious Abu Salim prison.

The CIA has not commented directly on the HRW report. A British government spokesman told Reuters that Britain did "not comment on intelligence matters."

Western intelligence services began cooperating with Libya after Gaddafi abandoned his program to build unconventional weapons in 2004. But the files show his cooperation with the CIA and MI6 may have been more extensive than previously thought, analysts say.

The depth of the ties could anger NTC officials -- many of whom are long-term opponents of Gaddafi who are now responsible for charting a new path for Libya's foreign relations.

Bouckaert showed Reuters photos of several documents on his computer and also photos of letters he said were from the CIA to Koussa and were signed, "Steve." He also displayed photographs he said were of letters from MI6 giving Libyan intelligence information on Libyan dissidents in Britain.

"Our concern is that when these people were handed over to the Libyan security they were tortured and the CIA knew what would happen when they sent people like Abdel Hakim into the hands of the Libyan security services," Bouckaert said.

More recent documents showed that after the war broke out six months ago, Libya reached out to a former rebel group in the breakaway Somali state of Puntland, the Somali Salvation Front, asking them to send 10,000 fighters to Tripoli to help defend Gaddafi.

(AP Photo/Jacques Brinon)

PARIS (AP) ? The last time he boarded a flight for Paris, Dominique Strauss-Kahn was on the verge of announcing his candidacy for president, and in some quarters his victory was considered certain.

Four months after being dragged off that plane in New York to answer accusations that he attempted to rape a hotel chambermaid, the former IMF chief arrived in Paris on Sunday to a gaggle of reporters that would be the envy of any politician on the campaign trail.

But a poll and analysts indicate that his politicking days are over. At least, for now.

Strauss-Kahn touched down Sunday just over a week after New York prosecutors dropped the charges ? including attempted rape, sex abuse and unlawful imprisonment ? because of concerns about the maid's credibility. He was met with a mixed welcome.

Friends and allies in the Socialist Party expressed relief that he was home a free man, and a supporter serenaded him with a bit of Verdi.

But members of his own party who are currently competing in a presidential primary have begun distancing themselves, and French voters appear to want a break from the man so famous he's often known only by his initials DSK.

"I don't think he will come back on the political scene," said Bichi Attal, a resident of Sarcelles, the working class suburb of Paris where Strauss-Kahn used to be mayor. "If I were in his shoes, I would stop politics and take care of my wife because he has a great wife."

Jean-Daniel Levy, a pollster and political analyst, said that while French people were still interested in the man as gossip, they'd lost interest in the politician.

"We're already in a period where the French aren't talking about Dominique Strauss-Kahn any more," he said. "There's no waiting" for him to make a big announcement.

And what's more important, Levy said, there seemed to be no void in French politics either: "From one day to the next, the French leaned more toward (Socialist presidential hopeful) Francois Hollande than Dominique Strauss-Kahn."

According to a BVA poll taken Aug. 23 and 24 ? in the hours after the charges were dropped ? 56 percent of respondents said they wouldn't want to see Strauss-Kahn in a Socialist government if the party wins.

The poll interviewed 1,026 people, selected by telephone. It gave no margin of error.

Yet his return was discussed for days on French news channels and the event itself was recorded every step of the way, from the send-off at New York's JFK airport, to the landing at Paris' Charles de Gaulle, to the arrival at his apartment on the tony Place des Vosges.

He waved silently and smiled at reporters along the way, as did his wife, respected former TV personality Anne Sinclair. When they finally reached their home, the crush of reporters was so thick, Strauss-Kahn had trouble reaching the front door.

The images of the two casually dressed and at ease provided a kind of bookend to the affair that began for much of the world with photographs of Strauss-Kahn in handcuffs being led out of a New York City police station in May.

The charges cost him his job at the helm of the International Monetary Fund, saw him jailed for a week and then kept under house arrest.

It also sparked some soul-searching in France, where his reputation as a "great seducer" was widely known and tolerated.

Many called for more openness about questionable private behavior that might reflect on a politician's public life, though there has been little evidence of an actual shift. No extra scrutiny has been directed at Socialist candidates, for instance.

With the U.S. criminal charges dropped, Strauss-Kahn begins another phase, that of rehabilitating his image and finding a new path. His communication team said he wouldn't speak Sunday, but he is expected to eventually make a statement and perhaps give interviews.

Laurent Giaou, another resident of Sarcelles, said the French were owed an explanation.

"With all the hope the French people had in him until May, I think the least he could do is explain himself, go on television and tell his truth," said Giaou. "That's what we are all waiting for."

Strauss-Kahn still faces a lawsuit filed by Guinean immigrant Nafissatou Diallo, who says he forced her to perform oral sex and tried to rape her when she came to clean his hotel room. Through lawyers, he has acknowledged that a sexual encounter took place but contended that it was consensual.

He also faces another investigation in France based on accusations by French novelist Tristane Banon, who says he tried to rape her during an interview in 2003. He calls the claim "imaginary."

The AP does not name people who report being sexually assaulted unless they agree to be identified or come forward publicly, as Diallo and Banon have done.

Despite the continuing cases, there was an air of triumph at Strauss-Kahn's return Sunday ? and particular praise for his wife.

Alice Ohayon, another Sarcelles resident, said she was "more than pleased" at his arrival.

"I take my hat off to his wife," she said. "You see, even Hillary Clinton, after what happened with her husband, can't compete with what Anne Sinclair did."

And while most pooh-poohed a political return, some allies could be seen planting the seed of a comeback for the man who was widely praised for his management of the IMF and its role in the European debt crisis ? however far off in the future.

"France in the face of this economic crisis needs his talent and this unthinkable test will have matured him," said Socialist legislator Jean-Christophe Cambadelis on his blog Sunday. "The time for reconstruction, undoubtedly lengthy, is beginning. This return is the first step."
